Saxophonist **Dan Moroz** and pianist **Jue He** combine forces to present an engaging, emotional, and thought-provoking concert experience of Dan’s original compositions. Their unique style oscillates between the cerebral and the visceral, the lyrical and the experimental, the raw and the refined. Rooted in classical composition, yet genre-defying and enjoyable to audiences of any variety. **Dr. Jue He** is renowned for her dynamic and eloquent performances. The Denver Post praised her for her "First Rate Performance" when she collaborated with the Aspen Festival Orchestra. She has performed and delivered lecture recitals as both a soloist and chamber musician in more than 60 cities throughout the United States and China. She is also a founding member of the award-winning "Liang-He Duo”, which continues to perform on stages in the United States and abroad. Dr. He studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s degree, awarded to her as a full scholarship recipient. Subsequently, she earned both her master’s and doctoral degrees in Piano Performance and Collaborative Art from Northwestern University, graduating with top honors. Currently, Dr. He serves as a faculty member at Benedictine University and was recently inducted into the Steinway Hall of Fame. **Dan Moroz** is an innovative composer and performer, with several independent recording projects available on all major streaming platforms. His original composition for saxophone quartet, “Greener Pastures”, is published by Opus Music Publishers and is actively performed at universities across the country. He’s premiered original compositions and been a guest clinician at more than a dozen universities, most recently demonstrating a new improvisational technique that has the added therapeutic effects of deep meditation. Dan holds a M.M. in Saxophone Performance from DePaul University and a B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from Elmhurst College, where he was a three-time MENC Honors Recital winner and two-time Concerto Competition winner. He was also named a Sword Scholar and an ACI Humanities Fellow.
