PROXOXIE is a rising force in Midwestern pop, crafting a sonic world where industrial grit meets digital fantasy. Born in Detroit and later relocating to Chicago, she began absorbing the sonic DNA of both cities — Detroit’s mechanical edge and Chicago’s experimental pulse — shaping them into a sound that feels immersive, futuristic, and emotionally raw. Drawing inspiration from internet-born movements like hyperpop and scenecore, while weaving in elements of alternative trap and industrial pop, PROXOXIE creates music that feels both nostalgic and forward-facing. Her earlier releases leaned into darker textures — distorted synths, abrasive bass, and shadowy atmospheres — reflecting a raw and unfiltered era of her artistry. Now entering a new chapter, PROXOXIE is expanding her palette. Her upcoming projects aim to blend nostalgic alternative music with the glossy chaos of modern hyperpop, refining her sound without losing its edge. Her production emphasizes immersive sound design, heavy low-end, and layered digital textures — all centered around the theme of human and technology integration. She has opened for Brokencyde, Sybyr, and Techg1rls, and toured the United States — building a growing fanbase drawn to her high-energy performances and immersive aesthetic. PROXOXIE represents a new Midwest pop mutation: emotionally charged, digitally enhanced, and unapologetically evolving. With each release, she moves closer to fully realizing a sound that feels both post-internet and deeply human. Her best is yet to come. A sprawling creative from Prince George’s County, Maryland, Sybyr is a multifaceted musician who has released over 50 projects since 2012. Formerly known as MacXVII from 2013–2015 and Syringe from 2015–2017, Sybyr has numerous alter-egos and former aliases. Sybyr produces instrumentals as Landfill / Landstrike and has self-produced the majority of his discography. Sybyr was one of the first artists to partake in the trap metal subgenre. He combined hip-hop with chaotic, arpeggiated synthesizers and distorted percussion. He is often cited as the genre’s most impactful innovator. Sybyr is a founder of the Anti-World collective. Sybyr has collaborated with artists such as Jasiah, Dylan Brady, Laura Les, Wifigawd, and Cash Money AP. Last year, he played in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, San Antonio, Dallas, and virtually in rooms ranging from 75 - 200 people. He’s recently collaborated with friends such as Gizmo, Fukkit, Yvncc, Ayesha Erotica, and Cameron Azi.
